ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Sounds awesome, but I don't think an inline 6 will fit under the hood

          How deep are your pockets?

Even with lots of knowledge in swaps and custom work it would it wouldn't be cost effective. Not worth it in my opinion.

If you want to be different start spending money in a K24 6speed swap.

maybe if u hack away at the firewall and lay it inwards a little more. Serious modification would be needed Im guessing, but ultimatel not worth it imo unless you have serious stacks of cash laying around. Grab the motor if you really want it, and find yourself a silvia shell, or a skyline shell. Then your looking at something much much easier, and worth it.

Hey, I voted "Great idea!" because I love crazy swaps that most people wouldn't even think about doing.

Maybe you should do some easier swaps for a couple of years before you start planning a project like this one

It will not take THAT long.... unless you have no idea what you are doing and/or only work on it 30minutes a day.

And it is not THAT much work if you compare it to building a house for example. Many people around the world have built their own houses.

Yes it will fit without any problems.

You realize that you can get a H22 with a tranny for ~$1250 shipped to you, right? and it will take 4 hours to put it into the CB7; it will take about 6 months to put the GT-R engine in a CB7....that's if you know what you are doing

Totally do it. I've thought about swapping a 2JZ or something like that.

I've found the motors to be pretty cheap, of course it'll take a lot of work to retrofit the motor into the cb7. Anything other than the H22 gets my thumbs up for originality.

Most of those inline 6 motors have 250+ BHP, if it's as expensive as an H22, I'd say go for it

Buy the engine swap. Buy a car with a blown engine that it'll fit (240 maybe? I'm not great with Nissans).

Badass car for 5 grand? And keep the CB.

pretty cool in concept but probably not worth the time or effort, especially if you have as little experience as you do.

i say throw it in a silvia.

im pretty sure i could do that too.

Well, it is possible...IF your pocket book is big enough. The only really feasable way to do it would be to do a FWD to RWD conversion on the whole vehicle. And then, it would really only be practical to do (financially) if it was intended to be a race car build.
