ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    92-96 Automanual gear shifter conversion into a 93 Honda Accord w/ H22A A/T tranny?

Okay so I have an A/T 1993 Honda Accord LX Sedan with a 93 H22A swap. I love everything about it and it's just so amazing how the vtec hits. I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to driving stick. Has there been any projects where ANYONE has done a gear shift conversion? so that a/t in the Prelude that has Drive to Upshift and downshift. Will it even fit? Would it be a bad idea? I know a lot of people will just say "Learn to drive stick and get a manual conversion" but I'm pretty chill with the a/t.

ahhh I see. Okay I'll look around for it. It's bound to be hiding somewhere, thanks. But like you guys said "it might be harder than its worth" so I may have to rethink this project.

yeah having a manual trans would be a lot more satsifying...thats what I'm gonna do in the future, I've got an Auto H22A w/ the LSD right now.....its fun enough for the time being, just got a sick custom header i'm gonna install over winter break, which should be good for I'm hoping 20whp over my current megan one.

I think you might need to look into the 97-01 preludes, since those were the ones w/ the tiptronic trans. Idk if their trannies are diff. though.

            Its OBD2 man
            A whole different ballpark

You need to aquire a 97+Prelude automatic wire harness for the cabin, perhaps the engine bay aswell......
97+ Prelude Engine/transmission, OBD2 starts with new sensors in new locations
Splicing things together could take....well a long time

it could probbably be done, but if you can't drive a stick i doubt you are capable of doing it.
I'm kidding really, but come on man, my 18 year old girlfriend that lacks common sense like... really bad... can drive a stick. I taught her on my bmw. Its a piece of cake.

Minus the ATTS system (which is pretty cool), the 97+ auto trannies were poorly built, many probs. w/ those. I would stick w/ what you've got or a 5 spd swap, if staying auto, the H22 trans is best, not sure what you have right now.
