ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Remus

So I was looking on the Remus exhaust website.
They don't list anything for a CB7. But they do have one that says "From '93" So I'm guessing that's for CD5, but it says CD7.
Is there a big difference in the exhast between a CB7 and a CD5 from the axle back? i.e.: Would a CD5 muffler work on a CB7?

well the do share the same suspension components and its not a live axle. Maybe the gas tank could change some things but how about you look at some pics of the cd5 vs cb7 if they have the "axle back" on the same side chances are with little modifications youd get your remus. .. .

Mostly asking out of curiosity. Just the axle back, new, from Remus is over $600. A lot of the 190E guys I know have Remus on their cars, and it sounds awesome.

190E 2.3-16, head designed by Cosworth, seats by Recaro, etc etc. Great car and pretty rare too, mostly overshadowed by the E30 M3. And the early 90s 190E 2.5-16 EVO II, even better (though they only made 501 [so they could race it in DTM] and they were never sold in the US). I was saving to buy one before I unfortunately totalled my Saturn and needed a car immediately.
They're pretty underrated little cars. Stock most of them aren't much, but there's a few that are quite nice.
We've got a guy on the 190 forum that's done a 5.6 liter V8 swap into his. Going to be pretty crazy once he gets it finished.

w201 ftw! one of the best cars ever, extremely over-engineered, and beautiful too! i was looking for one as a DD (i have a w124) but couldn't get anything decent, so i got my second choice, the cb.

look at remus universals, they have different sizes that would fit you just need to get hangers welded onto the brace they supply, very easy for an exhaust shop to do. i have a sebring universal muffler, they are made by remus in austria and are cheaper, that's another option... sounds great on a straight 6, probably on a 4 cyl as well

Axle back? It's probably not going to happen. Just can't see myself throwing $600 at just an axle back.

+1 for a sebring . they make great headers for the w201 (I think)

the b-pipe on a CD is shorter than a CB. I have a CD 5Zigen axle back on my wagon. I had to have a muffler shop re-pipe for me because the cd axle back went forward about 2 inches. Otherwise, exhaust hangers fit perfectly.

So, basicly, the piping just needs to be lengthened? And it'll work?
