ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Quick Question about Sensors

Hello I am currently putting a JDM H22 into a 91 accord ex and I have to admit this is my first time to ever have to wire something for a swap lol. I am new to the board and it looks very nice. Here are my questions.

    1. When you see a sensor, a MAP sensor for instance, you see 3 pins on the sensor itself. I understand that 2 of those go to the ECU but where does the other go ?

    2. In general where do most sensors get their power and their grounds from ? Do they normal receive power and ground from the ECU or..... ?

    3. I have heard that the IAB wires are already in place in the EX models of CB7's. Is this true ?

    4. I am assuming I can use the stock wires from the accord map, reclip them and plug them into the H22 map on top of the throttle body. Is this true ?

Thank you. Sorry if these are annoying it is my first time dealing with an H or an Accord. Any help would be much appreciated.

    1. The three pins/wires running to the map are a 5v source, ground and map signal. Technically they can all come from the ecu.

    2. This depends on the sensor. Most of the sensors use a switched ground from the ecu and power sourced from a relay.

    4. You can reuse the accord wires and plug. When extending or adding wire in for sensors, make sure you're using the same type of wire in the same gauge as the wire it's connecting to.

in the DIY sect. I think there's a guide on how to do a H22 swap. So you might wanna check that out. You're going to have to run 4 wires from to your new ECU, VTEC pressure sensor, ground, knock sensor and one for the IABs. If you had an EX accord, then you'll only need 3, since it already has the IABs.
