ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Please help with my suspension

Just want to say thanks for all the help so far.

Sorry for all the questions this weekend. Been workin alot on my new car.

Now, I want to drop the car some. I am thinking about 2 inches. I have read that the Eibach Sportlines would be about that.

My question is, what struts should I get to match up with the Sportlines? From what I am seeing, is that alot of folks are gettin the Koni Yellows. Are these the ones to get? Kind of expensive. This is only a daily driver, to work and back.

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

    Cole

yes koni yellows are popular and are excellent struts, and adjustable which is nice. I think Tokico hp blues are pretty sick too. I know some people get OEM replacement style struts like kyb gr2's and they say they run fine. I am sure that they do run fine, but I would say, put a little bit more into your investment and just get something a little more aggressive to suit your new springs.

      Thanks man for the reply.

If I go with the Sportlines and the Koni yellows, what size wheel / tire can I run?

I am still trying to learn how to read the tire sizes.

I wonder if I can run 16 or 17 in. wheels with this setup?

16s wouldn't be a problem. I ran 16 inch wheels with 205/50HR16 tires with H&R race springs and tokico struts and that was a 2.5" drop. 17s would also fit with the right tires. I would say lik 215/40 or something around there.

No problem, and yes as said above, 16's or 17's would be ok. best size for 16" wheels woul be 205-50/16, even though some people use a 45 series tire instead of the 50. only prob with that is I think they look a little too small for the wheel wells and also they throw off the speedometer by a little bit. for 17's definately 215-40/17 would fit, and maybe even 215-45/17. i guess it depends also on the offset of the wheels. but anyways if you want to learn about reading tire sizes, read this, it shoul answer any question you have:

tokico hps are stock replacement. they are in no way comparable to konis. the konis are about as good as you can get for the cb7 and they have a lifetime warranty. theyre made to be lowered. spend the money and do it right
