ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Auto trans out the door.....

Alright, its been a while since i actually had an issue with trans. But here we go.
The damn thing is slipping. In drive. Its rough as well, you can really feel the whole damn car shake when it shifts from Park to drive.
    So, what did i do...
Changed the fluid to DEX3. According to Honda, they wouldnt even touch they tranny with Dex2 again. Due to the fact that its nearly 10$/QT here. On top of that you need a 30$ additive, which you cant buy from honda now. (thanks honda, ya bunch of tards)

So. Now its slipping in drive as well. You put it into gear, and you have to give it some gas to go. Sometimes, once warmed up. You stop at a light, and slips again... Wtf?
So i thought i just didnt put in enough fluid.... Wrong.

Apparantly my automatic clutch is screwed beyond repair.

    My options are as follows:
    Auto F22A6 trans
    Auto H22A4 Trans.
Which one should i look at getting?
I need cheap results that give good gas milage until i get another CB. Looking locally, i can get a tranny from an F for around 300 bucks, installed free at a local shop, as long as i pull some low end work for them.
The H tranny is a little harder to find, some wanted 450-500.

    Thanks in advance guys.

Well... I decided today to go pull the plug on the tranny, and out came the fluid... All (close to ) 7 liters of it. What the hell? I never remembered putting that much in.

Anyways, i bought some standard ATF trans fluid that wasnt DEX rated, however "made for honda's" My question is - How many liters\quarts is supposed come out of the tranny when you just drop the bolt out. My program says 2.4Q SHOULD come out. But i hear differently from other people.
      Thanks.

Sounds right, only about 3 qts out of the drain plug.
I not exactly sure but holds around 8 + qts total.
Should not have drained "All (close to ) 7 liters of it."

Just replace with another F trans.

"i can get a tranny from an F for around 300 bucks, installed"

Very good price if they don't pile on extras charges.

well i think i cught it in time, i dont think anything got damaged. I put in the new fluid, and took it around te block a couple times, and it seems to be running alot better. Its not doing the same clutch slip like it did before. Over long term i will have to update you, but i think i caught it just in time.

you should only use Honda ATF, yeah it costs a bit more than DEX3, but its MADE for Honda transmissions.

                  An update:
                  Its still doing the samething.

                  However

if the transmission starts to slip, and i slightly move the shifter about 1/2 an inch, it doesnt slip anymore... Could it be a worn out cable?
