ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i know its kinda early to do an oil change after a few hundred miles, but its been three months and the car has been sitting awhile at my schools shop
( paint project ) so the all the oil has been sittin with w/e debries it brought, thought it would be the perfect time to do a fresh oil change when i drive it again

it cant and wont. and by chance it did....it would take 1000 times longer than it would with regular dino.

yes, I have talked to my local mechanic and he also says your motor will be more prone to leaks if you switch to a full synthetic when the engine has over 150k on her. They carry a full synthetic brand AMSOIL that has different varieties including one that you only change the oil every 40,000, INSANITY!!! It's a little more expensive, but you technically would save money in the long run only having to change the oil every 40k.

'92 EX 5-spd Sedan - Odometer reads 215k with 195k on my JDM SOHC F20A.

'92 DX 5-spd Coupe - Had bad times soon after buying with brakes and water pump (only paid 700 tho), Ran awesome then water pump went bad! F22A1
Needs: Water Pump and Timing belt (have parts) Front control arms at 200k, e-brake adjustment, mad body work, drop.

            Bought from: Slick, STL_92_Accord, TASPRO

Don't buy that 40,000 mile bs. Don't even get the 15,000 mile oil. I bet you before that 40,000 or even 15,000 comes around, the oil will be blacker than midnight.

Pennzoil stains your valvetrain a NASTY brown color. I wouldn't use it. I had great luck w/ Mobil 1 and Royal Purple.

really? i used pennzoil on my last oil change because everyone at bobistheoilguy uses it and I've seen some gunmetal gray rocker arm pics over there...

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

                        i use mobile 1 on 87. don't get started on why i use 87 on a bolt-on f22a1. FTW. camshaft regrind coming soon, it's a start.

anyways. mobile 1 is oem honda synthetic. i use a pure 1 oil filter which is a premium filter. i had leaks to begin with when i bought the car, it made it leak a bit more, but you're seals should be replaced regardless since it'll leak sooner or later. do it now, and less paranoia over your head. OEM SEALS since it's OEM oil. oh, i do my oil changed myself. it's fun and can teach you a lot about how you're car is doing first hand. since i started using mobile 1, the oil is freaking clear still even at 3000 miles, not black like conventional after 3000 miles. mobile 1 is some freaking good shit. exhaust valves are white when i took off my headers, and it means the motor is running efficiently if that's a point. mobile 1 synthetic walmart for a 5 quart jug at a discount.
