Do you smell your clutch when you push your car? and yes if you guys are going to say i have a bad clutch....not true, my clutch is only 2 years old and I have taken a peek it looks fine! but it smells

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I dont know what you are talking about but you sure its your clutch not something else. Do you know how to drive a manual car? Those are things to consider. I am curious to how you took a "peek" at your clutch. You might have a worn clutch which could cause slipping.
I dont know what you mean by "performance clutch." You can have a bad ass clutch, still dont know how to drive, and smoke a clutch. A stage 1 clutch is fine for bolt on motors and stock. The problem is dont cheap out.

Well had to make sure some people have issues like that. Anyway which clutch did you replace it with. I have never smelled clutch during driving unless the clutch is slipping. That would indicate a worn clutch. You have options either Rear main seal is leaking oiling up the clutch letting it slip or the clutch has gotten hot before and the clutch disk is glazed. Another condition could be pressure plate is weak and its not holding the clutch disk tight allowing it to slip and generate the smell you are witnessing.

Exedy Stage 1. Heard great reviews on them and dont seem they have had a problem holding up to abuse. I run an XTD Stage 3 its ok but not the greatest. My next upgrade prob is gonna be an Exedy stage 1 or 2.

Stage 1 because it seems like your engine is pretty much stock if not has a few bolt ons. You never buy a clutch by hp that doesnt tell you anything. You buy it by tq capacity. Exedy Stage 1 usually is a sturdy clutch already for most applications.
