Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    f22a6 turbo

    i own a 93 f22a6 with auto tans. and i was wanting to know if it would be possible to turbo it with the auto trans and get into the 200-250 whp range most people that i have seen on here are running 5 speed i just wanted to know about the auto trans and if it could handle that kind of power

    It will take it for a few months...

    If you put in a tranny cooler and don't gun it at every stoplight, you should be good.

      i going to run a trans cooler and i only plan to run it hard at track it will still be a daily driver for me

        i thought 180 whp is all the auto can take??????

          if 180 hp is all the stock trans can handle are there any auto trans swaps that can be done or can it be rebuilt to handle the kind of power that i am looking for

            It can handle far more than 180hp. Look up blazen_accord. I think he's running about 400whp with his turbo H22 automatic. He gave me a ride, and he doesn't drive that thing like a granny either!

            Get a transmission that's in good shape. Run synthetic fluid and a large cooler. Don't beat on it excessively. It should hold for a while.

            Tuning is different with an auto, though. Most of the guys that know how to tune on here don't do autos. Be sure you learn how to tune properly, or find someone that knows how, before you sink money into stuff. You HAVE to get it tuned if you're boosting.

              but that is an h22 trany right what about f22 trany what can it handle is it the same???

                the F22 and H22 transmissions are no different in terms of strength. Just make sure it's in good condition. The F22 transmission has longer gears, which will benefit turbo.

                  thats good to know if there are any more helpful hints out there from someone doing or has done an auto trans f22 turbo build please let me know all info is welcome

                      Trans coolers are your friends. Synthetic is nice if you have the money. If all else fails dexron III-IV works just as well. My auto trans teacher builds a lot of domestic trans and runs dextron iv on 800+whp setups. But anyway you will need to shorten the intervals you change the fluids as it does take quitea bit of abuse. The thing I would probably upgrade in an auto would be the valvebody. That will help with some of the hydraulic flow in the auto trans.

                          do not boost your DD. plans to drive it lightly normally fail.

                          nothing against you, but nobody adds a bunch of horsepower to drive so called lightly!

                          plus when you get the extra power your gunna wanna gun it!

                            as for all fluids i will be running full synthetic for engine and trans and as for the the daily driver part trust me on this when i say that it will only be ran hard at the track because i have two kids that are with me 97% of the time so dont want to risk that i also have a 91 accord that i drive from time to time
