ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Is it a Radiator clog?

Hello, i have a 1992 Honda Accord Lx 5spd and i have a heater problem where it blows cold air only

-I replaced the heater control unit
-Mixture valve on firewall is functional
    -Chaned the thermostat

And still its blowing cold air. Im thinking i should flush the radiator but how do i do it? If not do you think its the heater core? It worked fine last winter but this summer it stopped.

Also this radiator hose is cold even when my car is warmed up. Any input is much appreciated.

Is the hose you pointed out in the pic cold even after a long drive? If so, the thermostat is probably stuck open (although it's not very likely since you already changed it, but there are times new ones fail out of the box).

Are the two hoses that go from the motor to the firewall/heater core hot after driving the car?

A friend's Accord only blew cold air. Turns out the heater core was clogged from using too much rad leak stop powder. I drained the coolant, disconnected the two hoses from the heater core at the firewall, took a garden hose with no end on it and hooked it up to one side and turned the water on to force out all the crap clogging it. Worked fine after. In his case, all hoses were hot after driving but the coolant just wasn't flowing properly into the heater core.

I have seen bad t-stats before when replacing. Not all new parts are always in good working order. But yea i would check those two hoses going to the firewall. Another thing to check that people forget is to look at the coolant level. Make sure the system is burped properly.
