ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

you could also just get something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-91...es#ht_3723wt_0
its a no-name brand but at least its aluminum and saves you the cutting.
i have a Short ram similar to this and it works great.

      Bought from: Bisimoto, FuncOvrForm, HondaGuy1212, wed3k, Konigstiger, 1st2run, BillKisme, k-mart, benjerman112

do a ebay search. i can almost guarantee that you will find something similar from a canadian seller.

Sweet link, only problem I see is that the guy used piping that was smaller than his original oem and had to reduce down @ throttle body. I'd have used bigger pipe than what he used......I went the ebay route for tubing and bought an Apexi filter to get a fairly inexpensive setup.

why get an apexi filter whats the point? get aem or k&n. no others are worth the money.

and the best way to upgrade your intake on a budget is to go with a short ram. no point in getting a cai. plus you cant easily hydrolock with a short ram.

yea i built my cold air intake custom. i bought a short ram air intake pipe for a civic(or integra) then bought an "s" shape short ram for our car. then ran the "s" shape into the civic pipe with a 45 degree elbow in between(to avoid the battery, civic pipe bend was too short). and it turned out fine. only thing: had to make the hole next the battery bigger to fit the 3" pipe thru. Love it tho

Apexi Power series filters are dry flow, proven to flow and filter better than K&N and cost about the same. I have personally seen on many different vehicles where K&N filters clog up MAF sensors as well as seen my own oil analysis that show the K&N was allowing too much dirt into the engine, silicon level were high!

i definately dont agree with his AEM are the best statement, i have used aem, and my weapon*r intake has better throttle response and way better sound, i would get that before AEM any day, but like said before i would definately use bigger diameter piping

Does it have a bigger velocity stack then AEMs?

Don't forget that AEM also makes dry flow filters. I like how you don't have to oil dry flow filters, and have to worry about over oiling them, and the whole issue of clogging your MAF!

weapon*r is the same diameter i believe and it doesnt require oiling either, the filter design uses a velocity stack design also
