car quit on me 2day

i was driving home 2day an my car just shut off wen i came to a stop an wen i tried to restart it it was cranking for a while then it stop cranking completely, when i turn the key its as if nothing happens. Now i tried a dizzy from a workin car so thats not it but im not getting spark can it be my starter an is the starter related to why i may have no spark, BTW car gets fuel i checked. any suggestions??? i'm getting a starter 2moro but want some feedback

As far as it just quitting on you my 97 EK did the same thing when I had it. The timing belt tensioner broke.

getting spark and starter issues are different.

the battery probably died after trying to start it so many times.
first thing that comes to mind when u don't have spark is main relay.

i would definetly check your battery. believe it or not mine wouldnt start simply because of battery acid build up.

edit i got a boost from another car an it still didnt crank so not the batt also tested w/ meter an it checks out ok. just came back from the car nothing happens when i turn the key WTF all dashlights are on an dont dim

ya my dash it ticks an my fuel pump primes but no crank at all im think starter but y no spark

if it doesn't crank you wont get spark.

check your grounds. make sure you're battery is good then trouble shoot.

ignitiors commonly go bad on these cars.

just when i turn the key so no not an alty im fukin mad i spend so much time upgrading to have some stupid thing like this happen ughhh

ok so i hammered the starter an now i turn but slowly so i think it the starter but would that cause my car to stall i find that odd, cuz the starter is meant to crank the car not run it correct me if im wrong.

You might have a short getting the battery drained quick.
