ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Accessing Antenna Mast

So, I've poked around in my trunk and can't seen to figure out how to remove the panel covering the antenna. I need to put in a new mast as mine is stuck in the up position. I've not been able to find any screws/clips/etc to remove to get it off.
The only clips/covers I've found are at the rear of the car near where the trunk latches, and there's nothing below them, and they were a pain to get out.
    Help please?
    Thanks in advance.

If you are talking about the carpet like material just pull it! Once you pull it you should see where it is held at. Not for sure where the plastic clips are. Just pull the material and it should seperate. Once pulled the antenna mast will be exposed. I think there are 2 10mm bolts that has to be removed to get the antenna out. Oh yeah one more thing, you got to remove the cap off the top of the antenna inorder to remove it completly out of the quarter panel.

x2 Just pull it out of the way. You'll have some wiring to unplug but everything else is exactly what the above post says. GL

once you get the panel back, there's one 10mm bolt holding the assembly in. there's also a lock ring that you unscrew at the base of the antenna mast, it's on the outside of the car. some people use needle nose pliers to uscrew it. then you just unlpug the wire harness. later.

Oh, thanks. I was thinking there might be some clips/screws holding it all there, haven't tried to just pull on it. I'll give that a shot.

I tried to just push my antenna down from the outside before and it's stuck up. Is it possible to lower it from the inside?

The motor works, but the mast is stuck up, I've tried pushing down on it, no success.

Problem solved. Was messing around with it today and just pushed it down with a little more force and now it works again. I guess it was just jammed.
