I have spent a half hour looking through topics and googling with no answer, so go please point me to a thread if one already exists.
I have a few spare dollars lately, and I've been interested in changing the stock air intake to something a little more efficient. It would be easy enough to just get a new air filter from a good brand and put that on the stock intake tubing, and at 3" I don't think there would be any real difference except for look.
Does aftermarket intake tubing improve performance/efficiency if the filter is in the same place as the stock tubing? I'm just curious if it would be important to replace the tubing too, as I cannot see a real difference.
Thank you for your time,
K
