ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

How to get Lower and Upper Balljoint loose

How can i get lower ball joint and upper loose.

I took off the castle screw and hit the side of the knuckle to get it loose but it doesn't come off.

You need a ball joint puller... and then a big hammer to whack it out.

The upper ball joint should not be removed. The entire arm should be replaced.

balljoint is good... i just need to remove the knuckle so i can take off the rotor wheel bearing and hub and put in Rotor over hub setup.

I guess i have to go and get ball-joint remover

That's it right there. You can rent a kit for free from Advanced Auto Parts. Not all the stores do it though, so call ahead.

          Pretty easy little job.

You don't need an impact gun for the castle nut anyway. It shouldn't be on there that tight. Honestly, there's very little on our cars that you NEED an impact gun for.

Then the chances are that someone used an impact gun to put everything on...

That, or you have not yet mastered the art of the huge breaker bar.

I dont know man I seen too many people hold a wrench in the wrong position most of the time and they fail to grip it right......anyways I don't use actual breaker bars what I do instead is add a hollow piece of steel tube that fits onto the 1\2 rachet!

Its ghetto time! This is my adjustable manual torque wrench!

sup bro, for the lower ball joint I do it like this: put a 3/8 ratchet handle(the flat kind) in between the arm and knuckle and step on the top.

On the upper joint I just changed the entire arm. Pretty cheap really.

The lower joint is a pain. However my first ball joint change I used a huge punch and a BFH to get it out then the same to put it in (I don't suggest this). Within a few months I paid a shop to remove and install another new joint.
