ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Yeah a 50 horse shot should give about 40-60 wheel horespower depending. What do you mean how does it work? I want to know why nitrous, for the money you can get more dependble power.

because its not something you have to get tuned for. for $500 its something that doesnt put strain on your motor all the time like a turbo or a supercharger. its a plug and play affair(for the most part).

instead of paying $1400 for a H22 swap or $1200 to boost your F22a, you can spend $500-$600 on a nitrous kit and be able to hang with those swapped accord, civic, and tegs with no problems(if you already have some mods like the I/H/E combo).

if im wrong someone correct me

there is alot of info on the net about hondas. hondoogle.com is a search engine. I dont like it or use it because it doesnt have advanced searching or other things like that. But if you look around a bit you find more info. For now a few things to consider before adding nitrous is all aspects of fuel delivery.

this was the only thing that was helpful out of your post.

this is the beginners section. if your response has the word "search" in it, dont post. he asked a question, just answer it. sometimes the info up here doesnt contain info about spraying a 210k mile motor. so searhing doesnt always help. im a freakin mod and the things i search for dont turn up.

to the OP, heres a thread that help you a bit. it helped me out a lot when i was thinking about spraying:

also talk to RICHIE*GT35R. he was running a 75hp shot on his a6 and has since moved up to a 100hp shot. he's very helpful and willing to help you out if your willing to listen

So what is the safe shot limit my clutch can handle?? I just just got it installed from napa. They said it was an equivalent or a little bit better than the stock clutch. If im only spraying to the max my clutch can handle, what type and brand of system would you suggest i go with??

being that you just got a new one installed then you shouldnt have much to worry about. i just wouldnt go trying to spray a 100 shot before anything else. lol.

this is taken from the Nitrous FAQ in the performance section:

Can I run nitrous on my car?
Nitrous can be run on pretty much any car, whether it be stock or a fully built NA beast. If you have an older car or one with many miles on it, you will want to run a compression check. The numbers for each cylinder should be pretty close to each other and within Honda specs. For example, if you had 240, 238, 242, and 245 on a JDM H22A then it would be safe to run nitrous on that engine.
Secondly, aftermarket chips, ECUs, and Venom control modules that advance the ignition timing are not safe to use with nitrous. You may be able to use an MSD ignition timing controller or a Jacob's nitrous mastermind to retard the timing only when you are spraying, but it is very important to follow the rules for retarding your ignition timing when you are spraying nitrous. I will discuss these rules later in this post.
Finally, nitrous loves high compression, but the nitrous fuel ratio has to be tuned very precisely. 100 octane fuel will make it much easier to run high compression and nitrous, but it can be done to an extent on premium pump gas and good tuning.
a stock clutch should be able to handle it fine just as long as your not spraying while your leaving from every light.

as far as companies to go with, Zex seems to be popular due to the fact of the "brain box" they have. kinda makes it fool-proof.

always start off low with nos. 50 shot will be ok. you'll feel the boost. remember, it's not like the movies ok. as for your clutch, it's never a bad idea to install a better clutch. however, if it's not slipping now, you'll be fine. as stated before, get colder plugs and run 91 octane. also, I would retard the timing to 14 degrees.
