ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

92 lx, 181,000 miles stock chassis and motor. 34mpg was max I've recored, generally 30-32 summer, 28-29 winter, mostly highway and around town. Fairly conserative driving, modified stock intake, A/C and trunk lining removed, mud flaps removed, 5w-30 synthetic oil. Parking/running lights are on almost all the time, but never tested how much MPG it costs.
Opal Metallic Green '92 LX 2dr manual, 181k miles, '94 prelude VTEC wheels for summer (steelies with snow tires for winter), Omni-power struts/springs, and other junk

My engine is completly stock with 277k, Automatic H22a1. I get 26mpg just like the factory listed.

My plan is to add a higher flow header, MSD ignition and a cold air intake. By increasing the air flow in and out it will reduce resistance improving both performance AND milage.

The high voltage ignition is because I've read that the average cap used in a stock cars system will not always charge up all the way in time for every 4-6th spark firing. Meaning every 4-6 spark firings the cap doesn't charge up in time and thus skips a single plug firing. This means you loaded up a cylinder with fuel and air and then just shot it down the exhost pipe unburned. Also sometimes the weak spark made my a stock system will create a spark to weak to actually burn the fuel. By adding a performance system you go from licking a 9volt to stun gun levels of spark. This adds up to better milage AND improved performance. You can't go wrong with that.

I've always heard Cb7's get better MPG at faster speeds, and I'm here to tell you, ITS TRUE to a certain degree.

I did a test, drove 55mph for 31 miles during the day, averaged 29.6 MPG.

Drove the same road again, and drove it at 62-63mph and got 32.4 MPG.

I don't understand it other then...on the auto transmission, I'm running 2400-2500rpm at 55, at 62, I'm STILL running 2,500 b/c the transmission kicks into "overdrive" and holds the rpm's down.

I don't get it, but it seems to be that cb7's really like 60-65mph.
Hell yea dood i did this test going from the same distance at 90 kph from the half of the tank and my fuel gage was under the e_ line and when i come back , put it back to half . going at 110-120 kph i was over the E_ line . my friend told me it was impossible , but this really happened ...

My 91 accord 5spd gets on average (where I live which is a little city and highway) about 30. If I stay on the highway for a whole gas tank I can get about 33-34. My car has about 182K.
