ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    F22 A6 intake on A1

I have a 91 se donor car with f22a6. i am getting ready to put the intake on ny A1, and the ECU in. May also do the cam after it is looked at and bearing surfaces measured.(238,000 miles of wear) I see different threads about using one TB with the butterflies in, and another one gutted and plugged. Would a throttle body spacer serve the same purpose as the gutted TB or would the modded TB perform better due to the length and volume? I have seen a lot of tb spacers for our engines but they dont seem like they would actually do much for volume in the plenum.

The a6 plenum doesnt help as much in the plenum which is why alot of us use the h23 plenum which has alot more internal volume avaliable than the a6. ive found the best setup for me is the a6 bottom half with gutted butterflys and a h23 upper plenum with h22 throttle body.

I have another car with the H22 that I can get the throttle body off of. I would get the whole motor but it was hit pretty hard knocked the dizzy off, and broke the rear cam journal cap. It may have stopped the cam before the bottom end stopped turning. I will have to keep looking for an H23 plenum. Will the my TPS work on the other plenum or do I just plug in the one that is already on there? I'm pretty much just trying to get as much as I can out of her until I hit a scratch off that will allow me to send my A6 to Bisi.

i just read that the h22 and h23 plenums are the same. so you should be able to take the plenum and the TB if you want the h22 TB.

If it is the same I will definately do that. If everything fits up I can use the tb from the F22 and gut it just for extra runner lenght.
