ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Upper Control Arm Bushing?

From what I gather. To replace the ball joint requires an entire arm unless you install a camber type ball joint. Might as well buy the whole arm and either use the stock bushings or replace the bushings in the new arms if you already ordered them.

I just added the energy suspension hyperflex to mine last week. I used a friends press to remove the OEM bushings but was able to install all of them by hand, except the later added rear lower strut bushing which the bolt had rusted and broke off in.

    Good luck

So, they finally came in the mail, and finally got the bushings in. Those old bushings were so bad. I could flick the joint up and down. But, it was exciting to drive it afterwards, and notice there was NO shakes...NO clicking, nothing but a smooth ride.

And just for references, my (upper)ball joints..look pretty damn new. I checked out my buddies (90 accord), and mine look a little different. His are about to go, and mine look like they were definitely replaced. The bushings...oh man, they were bad.

And just to help out.....if anyone does decide to replace their upper control arm bushings......without buying the whole control arm, you're in for a fun time. Now, the parts me and my step-dad used were...

-sawzaw (that's what I call it. haha)
      -Chisel
      -Hammer
      -Screwdriver
      -Sockets

The first 4 in the list....are to get the surrounding INSIDE the joint, that the OEM bushing sits in....out. They were definitely machine pressed in, but once you cut the ring, you can chisel it out. We did a pretty good job at not chipping up the inside of the joint. These bushings fit nice and tight. Definitely worth the buy. Now I can get a front end alignment. Thanks casterX, for the site.

And Deev, I was PM'd the other day about a set of control arms (including ball joints), so I might take up the offer, and throw 'em in. Very easy replacement, but obviously very deadly if fails, so..better safe than sorry.
