ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

f22A tranny on f23a1 engine need help

    Old tranny was a f23A1 - the f22 is going onto a f23 engine.

here is a link to my previous post on hondaswap
    http://hondaswap.com/accord/f22a-tra...p-help-184861/

and the old post on this forum
    http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=117469

basically confused on what to do with the kickdown lever - what is it? what does it do? and is it needed? and if so how do i hook it up?

also on the other site there are alot of pics regaurding the connectors-

and the old tranny- 2 sets of solenoids are all controlled seperately- the other set together- making a total of 6 external solenoids.

this new tranny(f22) has two sets of external solenoids but both are controlled to.gether. and there are also two additional plugs which go into the
    tranny itself(internal solenoids?) .

aside from those issues the rest makes sense to me- if someone could check out those photos to see what im talking about - i greatly appreciate the help. ty

OK- so i have the wiring diagrams from both years of car. my 02(f23 engine) and a 97'(f22 tranny) diagram . And im trying to play connect the dots, with no luck.

here is what i have come up with so far...

LIST of what plugs are on the F22

    1. Vehicle Speed Sensor a.k.a.The Large Black Plug (3 slots - in, ground, vss out). My thoughts on this - read somewhere that this plug may only be for a M/T. With a kickdown lever also on the tranny this makes me believe so.

    PICTURE:

    2. Mainshaft Speed Sensor a.k.a the Little Green Plug ( 2 slot - yellow / white). It is on the front of the transmission.

    PICTURE:

    3. Counter Shaft Speed Sensor a.k.a. The Little Black Plug ( 2 slot - yellow / white). It is on the back of the transmission.

    PICTURE:

4.Upper Solenoid Set(not sure on letter). Two solenoids which only have a two wire plug(yellow, green). My thoughts on the upper one: This should be a direct plug in - since the old solenoid on my old transmission uses the same wire set(yellow, green) and plug. (SOLVED)
    PICTURE OF OLD SOLENOID UPPER:

AND 5.Lower Solenoid Set(not sure on letter). Two solenoids which only have a two wire plug(blue/brown,green)

    PICTURE FOR BOTH UPPER/LOWER:

    SIDEBAR:

    Notes on the F23:
some things make sense and others dont.
it seems like the f23 tranny has some extra things - and also does not have some of the things that the f22 has.

    example:
6.Dont know what this plug is- but its from the transmission, and it is a big grey plug with 10 wires. Are some of the sensor wires within this huge plug?
PICTURE OF BIG GREY PLUGsorry its blurry)

    7. also this set of solenoids on the f23 that the f22 does not have:
    PICTURE OF SOLENOIDS ON F23:

    8. Lastly - the lower set of solenoid on the f23 each are controlled seperately(4 wires in total/ 2 per noid): unlike the f22 which has only two wires for both solenoids:
    PICTURE OF f23 LOWERS:

    AND THE PLUGS FOR THEM:

I have the wiring diagrams for the F22 and f23 if anyone needs i will email them to you.

Other then that I really need help on where these wires go- i need it to work at start up and i dont want to mess anything up.

any help is appreciated i need all of your wisdom ty in advance.

damnit - I think i know what is up with the big plug- The guy who sold me the tranny took off the TCM. guess i have to take off my old one and put it on there - I hope its works considering my old transmission is malfunctioning.
