Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

      coilovers dont blow struts.

morons who put junk coilovers on struts with 100k+ miles on them, and set them super low, are the ones who blow struts.

Save your money, and buy full body coilovers, Function and form, Tein, D2, Ksport, Hell even skunk2. do it right.

That would be a much better setup with standard coilovers and just the little springs stacked on top. They keep the stiff coilover spring seated when the car lifts. They're called helper springs and alot of racing coilover sets will come with interchangeable ones.

Just sayin guis. You can see helper springs on highend coilover setups.
The problem with this setup is that the overall length of spring would be tiny, you would have no suspension travel atall.

X2 my teins have them, Other wise when you wind the coilover right down and jack the suspension up the main springs is completely loose.
Its more a safety thing, and also prevents the springs from rattling when driving

Yep, it also adds comfort by taking out super fine bumps in the road yet since they're easily compressed, when you set the car in the corner they go coilbound instantly and the full load is put on the large stiffer spring. You can get good suspension travel, handling, and comfort this way.

Hmm learn something new everday..so the lowerng springs are "set" to say like 2 inches? Two inches is all I want. And the coil overs are for "adjustment?? I also read horror stories like tires wearing down within a week, and shocks blowing up in a few days...is this because of the coilovers??? Hey guys thanks for your input...forums like these are great....Nat

Typicaly, the stock struts blow with coilovers because coilovers run a high spring rate. The high spring rate makes the stock struts try to damper way more than they do stock and thats why they blow, it doesn't have as much to do with how low you set them as how stiff they are. I wouldn't recomend buying this setup simply because of how short the springs are.
