ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

wasn't there a warning about doing it that way because of the usage of washers that eventually throw the axle off kilter?

SMseagren83 used a manual 5th gen Accord tranny mount and had to shim the drivers side mount to level it out.

ok fellas I did my homework today! LOL. I was at the J-yards all day today and I see that the bracket for a manual trans is flush to the inner fender as supose to the auto tranny bracket. the auto tranny bracket sits like 1-1/2 inch higher than the manual bracket. this explains why the engine wouldnt sit level and the possibility of breaking an axle. I have seen for my self the difference between brackets! So purchasing a manual mount bracket is nessesary. Also The manual bracket sits in the same place as the auto one. so cutting the auto off and welding the maunal on in the same place should do the trick. Well Im going to start this weekend. I will keep you posted on my progress! Once again thanks! Oh one more question. I read that you need 3/8 inch spacers for the mount on the drivers side. is that nessesary?

exactly. and the prelude mount is taller, which is why it helps make up for the difference.

you only need to add washers to the driver side if you use a prelude mount, since it isnt 100% perfect.

and id double check your measurement of the bracket location, the 5spd bracket is mounted further toward the front of the car, by an inch or so, but the exact measurement im not sure of.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.
