ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

my accord has been down for a week because of the same reason too...but i think you have to switch the clutch no matter what...cause the clutch might have been messed up somehow..anyways let me know if you find it anything new

actually. my dad checked and my clutch fluid aka 3 dot brake fluid cylinder was bone dry. he drove it and it worked fine. the next morning i went to drive it it did the same thing so i got in the clutch fluid cylinder and pushed down the floaty thing and about 10 minutes later it was fine. every since the car has ran just fine.

The fluid shouldn't be going anywhere... and it is. You have a leaky cylinder. Time to replace the master and slave cylinders. The clutch itself shouldn't be shot.

i agree with him. If you do happen to replace the slave cylinder, it is a little tricky bleeding it and does not bleed as easy as the brake system does. Takes me about a half hour every time.

If your fluid was low, it's leaking. You need a new master cylinder, or slave cylinder. The fluid doesn't have anywhere to go otherwise.

Buy new, or at least keep an eye on it, because it IS leaking.

                  Happened to me.

After having mine for a year and a half, the exact same thing happened. It was my slave cyclinder >< eek.
I drove my car home without using the clutch which was pretty fun.

For those of you who dont know how.
Step 1. Start the car in first gear and push the gas a little. after rolling a bit
pull it out of gear before releasing the gas. Hold the stick down on second gear.
Iti'll go in automatically while the rpm go lower. repeat for other gears.

Now for down shifting. lets say you want to go from 5th gear to 2nd for turning corners.

First pull it out of gear. then rev the rpms up some, like 3k to 4k and let go and hold it down to 2nd gear, it'll go in like if you were going in from 1st.

Red lights will leave you no choice but to turn off your car, put it in first and crank it on green.

                  HAVE FUN^^.

You can go quite a while without changing the master or slave cylinder if you make a point of checking the fluid every two weeks or so. Figure out how fast the fluid goes down, then make a routine of checking it in time. Keep clutch fluid in the trunk and you'll be fine. I did that for about the last 2 years, and now I've just decided to replace my (leaking) slave cylinder. Because I don't like clutch fluid leaking from my car. But really, if you keep an eye on it you can go quite a while without replacing it, as long as the clutch hydraulic system is properly engaging and disengaging the clutch mechanism.
