ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

When I'm putting a heavy foot it's 18MPG City with a super dirty EGR Valve and Port.
When I drive like an old man I get 23MPG city with a super dirty EGR Valve and Port.

I'd say 26MPG is highly possible with no heavy foot & a healthy engine.

I only get about 21 city and that's doggin on it all the time. I've got a recent cyl. head refresh...new valve job. But when I get on the hwy, it shines, 32mpg is what I usually get.

However mixed, I still get about 22, so idk thats really lame. I've got I/H/E double stacked IAB plates, 17s and a Legend lip....lol that might increase drag or not idk.

              I average 21-24.

On the highway i can usually get 26 or 27.

I just have I/E. I imagine if i clean out my EGR, i could see better numbers.

Anything under 22 or 21 and id start to worry.

When I had my auto (w/215,000) no rebuilds.

                City grandma driving = 23.5mpg
City aggressive driving = 18.5mpg (only one tank worse ever but a HEAVY foot all the time)

                Hwy 80-85mph = 27.6mpg VERY consistently
                Hwy 70-75 mph = 32.0mpg

With my 5spd now, I'm averaging 20-23 mpg city (gotta work on my self control hehe). And 80-85mph highway is getting me ~27 mpg. Yet to determine highway 70-75mph mileage. I'd guess upwards of 33.5-34.

                  City Mileage

Before adding a GREEN drop in filter and E3 spark plugs, I used to get about 19.5 till about 21.2 in the city, with 1993 CB7 with F22A1 engine. The reason I know exact numbers, i kept a journal, to see what improvements, if any were made by using aftermarket drop in filter, and one of these "super spark pligs"; to begin my quest to squeeze as much MPG as I could out of my CB7. After the new stuff, on a 3 tank test, while stationed in the San Diego area, according to my notes, I only got 22.6 to 23.8 for the city. I mostly noticed somewhat big increases on later tankfuls with freeway driving. I count that mostly to the air filter (PLEASE don't tell me my filter sucks or that "mine is better than yours" big man on campus comments...whatever...it's what I bought at the time, I will repent from my supposed mistakes later!);-) I think the E3 sparkplugs are kind of a waste of money if you are hoping the "diamond-fire" spark will solve your lack O performance, MPG, ego problems....but then again they do last longer than the 30,000mile NGK's. so might save money in the long run, I am 58,000 or so on them and no changes in performance or mileage so far. Hope this helps.
