ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Cherry Bomb Turbo II. $16.99 at AutoZone.

              But im biased.

In all honesty, chop the pipe off right behind the muffler and you can put it on anything you want.

Yea i got a cherry bomb turbo on my wagon, I had on a flowmaster and it was just way too loud and annoying, I used the pipe that came with the dronemaster and bent up and welded on my own hanger, if I can do it, anyone can.

This "Cherry Bomb Turbo", how does it sound? Quiet, loud, throaty, raspy, etc.?

Edit: Is it the same cherry bomb everybody in the world has on their F150/Tundra/Explorer/Grand Cherokee?

It is quiet and a bit throaty, but don't take my word, I haven't driven my car in almost 3 weeks. I do recommend it, its awesome.

Well, it's $80 for a new muffler from a good parts store (not Honda muffler, but good aftermarket one designed specifically for the accord.
Add $10 for fasteners, a gasket, and some time and frustration and you're golden.--except for the part of removing the old fasteners, which is often a bear.
If you reallycan't afford that right now, i'd go see if if you can hang the Civic muffler on your accord,, measure the amount of extra pipe you'll need, then bring it in to a muffler shop and have them connect it with piping. But honestly, I'd be surprised if you saved a whole lot by doing that. Call them up, run it by, them, and get a quote and decide.

Make sure it's just the muffler that's the problem. sometimes there can be gaps/breaks in the exhaust piping near the exhaust flange that connects the intermediate pipe and the muffler pipe. Feel up around the top there between the pipe and the car and make sure there are no gaps before you waste a lot of time on the job and then notice that you've got to, for example, replacle the intermediate pipe too.

It's a good idea to not drive too too long w/o a muffler, as it will reduce the backpressure in the exhause system to the engine and the reduced backpressure may allow the catalytic converter to overheat, damaging it over time. So it's a good idea to fix the muffler soon, it isn't just a noise issue if you weren't aware of that.

                      good luck

I have a "fart can" muffler, with the stock cat, it's quiet as hell. So, before I'd do that, if you don't already have one, see if you can pick up a stock cat, that'll quiet it down a shit ton
