ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

In my opinion Megan is crap.
Im not sure about the F-series motors but the DC header is guaranteed hp on an H-series.

i like mine for what i paid for it.

the chief complaint that i always hear from people about the Megan Racing header on our F22 is that the gasket between the header and the down pipe is crap.

if you're looking for a replacement for your busted flexpipe, Megan Racing is the cheapest you're going to get for it being a header and the flexpipe before quality becomes an issue.

Most headers available for the F series won't give significant gains. The Megan header is ok... not a work of art, but well worth the price. That gasket is a common complaint, though. Do yourself a favor and get a better gasket before you put it on.

ive had mine for about 2 years now and havent had a problem out of the gasket, just one of the lucky ones i guess . Its a header and the quality is pretty good for the price. No complaints here.

It's a common problem, not a guaranteed failure. Installation could play a role as well, I'm sure.

IMO, it's better to spend a few bucks on a good gasket than risk it with the possibly crappy Megan gasket.

will an aftermarket header such as this make the engine a lil bit quieter at normal driving speeds as well?

                    not necessarily
you probably wont be able to hear any noise differences at all

then wtf is a header for lol if there is no real power gain? if you wrap the headers..doesnt that help with temp and performance since the air is cooler?

headers help with exhaust flow you really dont c gains until you add more "performance" parts. plus they look better than stock cast iron and also weigh less.
