ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Ok, so I'm about 90% sure that the piston ring came apart in there, whatever is hitting the plugs is bouncing around on top of the piston and is very small, but jagged because it's got the whole bottom of the plug banged up. Also it's smoking like crazy out the exhaust and sputters and rattles awfully. I'm very handy with cars but I don't mess around with internal components, and have a hundred more important jobs that need to be done before winter, so I wouldn't even get a chance to work on the car for a long time. I've decided to sell it for parts or easy repair, it's ready for an engine swap, hopefully I'll get enough out of the sale to buy another car. Hate to see it go, but can't fix this problem. Thanks for all the help guys

yeh i had a civic come in did the same thing...the piston prolly broke off the crank...the crank is prlly not bent or even bad.....if u need to save money just put a rod and piston in it and call it a day....ive done it, dont like to, but it can be done...providing metal in the from the piston breaking tore the cylinder walls up....in which case u really need a whole motor anyway...so think about it that way...for 500 u can take a chance, for 800 u know ur good....Lost Motion Inc. Well after talking to my mechanic and telling him the symptons he agrees that the piston ring has failed and come apart, and lil pieces of it have been hitting the plugs and causing them to be damaged. He claims that changing out the piston in these is very easy, so after talking to my father we agreed that we would make this our project. I'll either replace the piston and ring, or if this piston looks ok I'll just put a new ring in. It'll be off the road for a few weeks but it'll be worth it to keep all the work I've put into it. Finally a light at the end of the dark tunnel LOL

Yes. save your cb after all that work you done to it if I remember right you got like 397K miles on your motor, so just find nice low mileage engine and swap it plus you can change all belts and seals while it's out.
