ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i agree with buying good parts if you can afford it, thats what i tell everybody.

but people are always putting down the ebay coilovers as if they're gonna fuck up your car instantly just by putting them on.

If they fail while you're driving, you'll be lucky if all they do is fuck up your car. I bought my 3rd gen Accord with "lo boyz" coilovers on it. They were the first thing to hit the garbage. They were fairly new, and already seized up.

If you can't afford to put quality suspension components on your car, you can't afford to lower your car. If you can't afford food, would you eat shit?

AEM actually has R&D behind their products. The aem v2 intake IS the best intakes. Or so I've found from my tunings and other tuners tunings.

The gains over an ebay intake are not huge, but significant enough to matter to someone that wants the most hp they can get.

Very true. AEM's stuff IS some of the best. However, I never understood one thing... why spend a hefty chunk of change on an intake to get every last possible hp out of your setup, when an ITB setup is superior?

what will probably happen is...you buy something for a cheap price, then at some point down the road, you'll realize that the quality is very poor.

whatever that item/part is will fail or youll be unhappy, then you'll end up spending more money later for the good stuff...

that was my learning experience -- though ill never cheap out on critical parts

and honestly...i want to do things once and right, and not have to worry about taking it all apart and doing it again (i.e. springs)

                For an ontopic post;

Ebay is great if you know how to use it. Just because you bought from ebay doesn't mean that you bought a low quality item. I've purchased many quality items from ebay.

Stay away from generic brands if you're looking for performance. Go ahead and buy generic brands if all you want is a cheap replacement or something that will work.

                  Also very true.

I wish people would stop referring to "ebay parts"... since ebay makes absolutely NOTHING.

However, it's generally assumed that "ebay parts" are the cheap, no-name parts you can find there, as opposed to the higher priced quality parts that you can find elsewhere.

You're MUCH better off buying used quality parts from ebay than you are buying new garbage parts.

i THINK mine are ebay.....i'm not sure.theyre green
Might be those ones from K2motor. Are they just the springs....or the coilovers?

I've gotten quite a few things from Ebay. Header, an N1 muffler, shift knob, pedals...and coilovers. I was satisified with everything BUT the coilovers. Like I've said quite a few times, its like buying a death wish. Being said, from a coilover owner. Tomorrow I'm gettin' my stock springs put back in the rear. The coilovers did a number. Bastards. They were pretty for a couple days (blue), then the paint chipped off. The PAINT isn't even good. I mean, what the hell!

I really understand about the critical parts: suspention, brakes. Just today I opt for a new radiator cause I didnt feel like being bothered with the hassle of installing a used one and finding it leaks after Ive busted my f&#$ing knuckles!! You cant be cheap there!! far as the cheesy intake pipe I think it would be cool to order from Flea Bay and mount a K&N at the end. Good idea! I have really learned a lot.
