ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Why is it unsafe? What would happen?

i got a remote start on my manual car, my buddy that installed it did it, i will ask him how he did it, i guess its not safe if you leave it on gear(which i never do) ive had it for almost 5years, my fam and friends know about not leaving my car in gear if they ever drive the car too, but then again im the only one that drives it!

very unsafe to bypass that switch

no matter how anyone says that they will be very careful a mistake can happen.

              better safe than sorry

Should be easy, look up under there on the clutch pedal and look for a switch that opens when the clutch pedal is pressed. just remove the switch by taking it off the bracket some how and just leave it in the open position all the time.

or cut and tape one of the wires going to the switch.

                That should work. lol.

I couldn't find a way to get to it without pullin the whole pedal assembly. I replaced it with a door panel clip that pushed in snug. (> Just a plain rounded head. You can get them in packs at any parts store for cheap. The clutch switch is at the top of the pedal. The switch to the front is the one that cancels your cruise control when you press the clutch. You dont want to bypass it. If you start your car in reverse with a kid behind the car, you will hate yourself forever.

Very true. When you start the car in gear it will lurch forward. Not fun when you go out in the morning to start the car and forget that you left it in gear. I did that ONCE since I did the auto-->manual swap. Scared the crap out of me since the car in front of me was a M3.
