ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    H & R springs

When I bought my 92ex it was already lowered. I was always amazed at how well it rode being so low. Im getting ready to replace my rotors and pads soon and probably struts, the front ones are leaking a little. While inspecting I wiped off the front springs and noticed that they are H&R. Are these good springs?

Ill probably just clean these springs up and install new struts then. I like the ride and current height. I was just curious if they were some ebay springs that I should change out while its apart.

If The Architect himself has those springs then you know they are good. Now you just need a proper set of struts to go with those.

I wonder what kinda struts The Architect has?

Yeah, whats up with the squeeks, mine does it sometimes. I was thinking bushing squeek, it seems to do it when its cold. I also hear some clunking going on when driving on bumoy roads, smooth on the highway. I think my upper control arm is hitting. When I noticed my front stryt leaking I checked the end of my upper control arm and cam see a polished area on the end of it. What do a set of those Konis go for? What would be the bang for the buck in struts?

koni yellows with adjustable perches, probably anywhere from 350-450

                    and yes
ask most people on here and koni will be the first name to be mentioned

edit: if your car has lowering springs
                    and oem struts
                    they are going to squeak
                    until one blows
and you put your car into a guardrail
                    lol
                    time to upgrade

Thanks, after I get my brakes squared away struts will be next. The konis may be a little bit steep for me right now. Im not a kid on fastfood wages I make good money as a diesel mechanic. But the damn $1000 a month child support I have to pay cuts into my toy expenses a bit. What strut would give a good ride on a budget. Im not looking for full race, just something better than the oem leakys I have now.

I picked up mine used. They have a lifetime warranty, so I can just send em back to Koni to be rebuilt or replaced when they die

Ill have to keep a lookout from some of those used also. If you dont mind me asking what did you pay for them.

I think I paid $340 or something for the springs and struts... but that was also picked up, from a friend. I've known them to go cheaper, and I've known them to go for more. I knew these were in good shape, so they were worth at least what I paid... Though the Konis are leaking now (still work fine, but they'll go soon enough...)

That sounds like a good deal, ill be looking for some. Hopefully the upgraded struts help to keep my upper control arm from banging around on rough roads.
