ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    ball joints, alignment

I'll put this in the beginner section too...

Lots of questions...I'm putting them in "quote" form to make it easier...

    Here's the story.
ok I'm going to wait on the super cup kit (neuspeed koni yellows (springs/shocks))...but I need new ball joints and an alignment NOW...too much negative camber eating my inner tires.

I'm guessing my springs are sagging a little, but I'm sure the ball joints aren't helping.

I am looking into ball joints right now, and I've decided to not replace the whole upper control arm. I will replace just the ball joint, as i have found several "upper ball joint" only parts.

    Question 1
So, should I buy an adjustable ball joint to go in the upper control arm (front) or should I get a regular ball joint for the front? Then, once I DO get the new shocks/springs, buy an ingalls camber adjusting kit?
    Question 2
What is your experience with the adjustable ball joints vs ingalls style camber correction kit (control arm anchor bolt style)
    Question 3
Also, for the rears, is it possible to replace JUST the ball joints or do the only sell the whole arm.
    And...if that's the case,
    question 4
won't I need something to adjust the rear camber as well once I buy this setup?
G-man informs me that neuspeeds koni yellows setup will give me a pretty good drop...
    Question 5
So when I do get the koni's, will I need 1.5 degree +- camber correcting parts or a 3 degree?

From what I read before replacing my ball joints, TASAuto sells a set of control arms with adjustable camber on the ball joint end, with ES bushings already pushed in. That alone saves you at least an hour of work.

I think losiracer2 has blocks on the control arm bolts that push the camber out a little bit, though I don't know how adjustable they are. Having said that, I believe he said that the adjustable ball joints are a LOT easier to deal with, as they're easily accessible.

I read something about people having problems with the Ingalls kit, I don't remember if it was about it coming loose, or what.

I've wondered about the ingalls but I've seen a lot of folks running them.

I didn't really want to replace my arms, and the adjustable ball joints run anywhere from 80-100 for two (78.99-99.99) depending on where/who i get them from.

I might as well go ahead and get them now I guess then. If my springs are sagging this will aid in the alignment until I do get the koni setup.

So what am i looking at needing in degrees adjustable then? 1.5 pos/neg degrees or 3 degree pos/neg ?

question...adjusting the camber to be more positive (after a drop which would make it negative) this is pushing the ball joint away from the control arm, and out from under the metal...the ball joint could actually be sticking out from underneath the control arm...

I guess strength wise this isn't really an issue? Or is it?
