Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Cams question

    Is the f22a1 cam the same at the f22a4,6 cams?

    im curious because i got and a4 in my garage and if the cams are better ill drop that in instead of the stock f22a1 cam.

    and im probably getting new cams from bisimoto.

    the only difference with the f22a1 and a4 was the header.

    I believe the a6 has a better cam than the a1. Unsure why but that's what everyone says.

      The A6 cam is different, yes.

      The difference isn't so significant that it's worth just doing the cam, though. You'd want to do a whole F22A6 conversion to get those extra 15hp (assuming such an old engine WOULD get those gains)

      Bisimoto will give more gains.

        yea like mike said. theres like no feel in hp gain if you just swap the cams. you will probably gain like 3 hp. 2 hp from the head, and 8 hp from the intake manifold, and 2 hp from the exhaust. cus it has 2 outlets in the back for quicker exhaling.

        moved onto volvos. dont know how that happened, just did

          The head isn't different. The only difference is the valve springs, which are likely to be slightly stiffer to deal with the cam... not a major thing. Nobody has ever reported problems with the A1/A4 springs.

          The intake manifold inhales. It has an IAB setup... dual runners with "butterfly" valves (like throttle bodies), to increase airflow at high RPM.

            thanks guys. I think imma save up a bit and get stage 2 regrinds from bisimoto engineering.

            any idea on horsepower and torque gains from the stage 2 cams?

              Some guy made 155whp/144wtq with an H23 IM, spacer, bisimoto intake gasket and a stage 2 cam (I'm sure I'm missing a few things on this list).

                well i got a f22a1 with a4 headers and port and polished head, with aem intake.

                after i get the stage 2 cams in im getting it dyno'ed.
