Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

H22 issue.. Knock sensor keep coming on... :(

    H22 issue.. Knock sensor keep coming on... :(

    I've done a lot of research before posting here but I couldn't find anything very helpfull... I'm having trouble with my knock sensor on my H22... Last month my check engine (code 23) came on cause my gaz tank was leaking and my fuel filter was full on sh*t... I changed the whole tank, the filter and I cleaned the gaz line... Now that it's done I often have a CEL (code 23) wich is knock sensor and I can't find what could make this happen... The weird part is that this trouble is intermittent... It always happen when I'm on the highway (60mph +) and often when I'm cruising around in the city...
    I have some ideas of what it could be but before I want to know if somebody already had this kind of trouble and if yes, how did you fix that...

    did you change the knock sensor? my sensor was cracked so i had to get a new one

      No I didn't changed it... I know that could fix the problem... I just wanted to get some advice since the code keep coming on even if I changed the gaz tank and everything...

        get hondata and delete the knock sensor.

          Get a chipped ECU and tell company that you're getting it from to delete the knock sensor. Hondata is not cheap

            The knock sensor is there to protect your engine... Deleting it isn't always a great option.


            The first thing I would do is inspect the sensor, and make sure it's in good shape. If it's clearly damaged, then replace it. That should fix it. If it's not clearly damaged, then it may or may not be faulty... again, replacing it is one way to rule that out. Check your wiring as well... it's possible that the sensor is fine, but the wires got damaged somehow. Doing a swap can pinch and pull wires that shouldn't be pinched and pulled... I have a few like that (my oil pressure sensor wire is currently duct taped together... )

              do what dev say and make sure your knock wiring is shielded cable and the connection at both end (knock plug, ECU pin) is tight. My issue before was the ecu pin wire keep coming loose. Oh and make sure yo have the wire to the right ECU pin too.
