ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The H22 transmissions are the same as the F22 transmissions in terms of strength and how they shift. The gearing is just different. It's best to have the transmission matched for the motor.

It's risky boosting a stock H22, and building it up is very expensive. You can get away with more when you boost an F22, and they're cheaper to replace when they blow. Building an F22 costs about the same as building an H22.

Read through the performance section of this forum. We have 5 years of info just begging to be read!

How would it be a bad idea using an H22 with an F22A1? Just curious because this is a topic that I need some intelligent insight on...

Well, H22 and F22A1 are both engines... I'm assuming that you're referring to the H22 with the F22 transmission (which has its own code... I don't bother with those because not many people know what's what...)

The transmission on the F22 has longer gearing, which means initial acceleration will take longer with the H22. Once you hit VTEC around 5000rpm, you have another 2200rpm or so to rev before you have to shift. With the F22 transmission, you'll shift below 5000, and therefore shift out of VTEC.

only gear i ever fall out of vtec is between 1 and 2... i shift at 7200rpm from 2nd to 3rd and it stays in vtec....i like the longer gears... i think it saved me when i miss shifted from 3rd to 2nd on the interstate... heard the motor rev up to 9+K and knocked it back in neutral.....

Please, Leave me some feeedback on my ride ^CLICK ^CLICK ^CLICK

I would decide the transmission after I decided the setup. If you wanna go all motor go with the shorter geared transmission, if you wanna go turbo, go with the longer geared transmission.

Yeah, that is very true. Longer gearing on a turbo motor allows the it to stay in boost longer.
