ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Car playing games with me???

Ok.so here is how it started,a friend came and took me and my dad to a place where we replaced his timing belt on his 93 corolla,we needed to got there to use the air gun,so later when we come back and we want to go to this friend for a bbq because we fix his car,we get into our car,it has been sitting less than 24 hours,we get in,start it up,it cranks but doesn't start,ok lets wait,we had this happend before, but in 30 seconds or so it always would start and we would go,not this time,we wait and crank it again, nothing, again nothing, the motor would spin but not fire up.So my dad bieng a mechanink took the bool of the fuel rail, and told me to cranck it a bit,and surprisingly no fuel came out, nothing at all.To make it short we thought someone stole the fuel out,we went and got about 10 liters, started it again and fuel was still not coming out.Now my dad was pissed, cause we really needed to go,he started to chek all the fuses, under the hood and drivers side, they were all ok!!!First thing that came to our minds is its the freaking fuel pump thats gone.
So we leave the car there and take a friends car, about 6 hours later when we come back,i try to start it for shits and giggles cause dad needs it to go to work, and u woudnt believe it,the Bicth starts right up like nothing ever happened????????????????????????????????
U guys have any idea what could this be,after she warmed up the ilde was really low, like 250-350 rpms, but otherwise she was fine!!!
does the main relay have anything to do with the fuel pump???

yeh the main relay prolly has dirty contacts inside causeing the improper voltage to the pump...if ur dad is a tech he shoudl know how to check and see if u have power at the pump and comming out of the main relay...but yeh prolly only has 6 or so volts @the pump causing it to start sometimes

It's a common problem with cb7s. The solder joints inside the main relay go bad. They seperate when they get hot. I'd say most of us have experienced it at one time or another. You can either repair it or replace it, but whichever you choose, don't put it back in the same spot. Leave it loose and let it hang lower than it was. Do a search, there are dozens of threads about it around.
