ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

^^I second that motion.. I have the setup your trying to do now, I wouldn't advise it. As soon as I get the funds I'm getting new suspension

You can run on stock shocks and struts for a long while. As long as your not slammed to the ground, you'll be fine.

Your stock shocks won't last long if you go lower than 1.5". Also if you buy coilovers with a high spring rate your car will bounce.

Stockers that are already probably older than the person driving the car? No.

Stock would hold up if they were new... at least for a little while... but most stock struts are close to blown already, in most cases.

Lowering a car on stock struts is a bad idea. It provides more work for you later on, as you'd have to redo EVERYTHING to change them out once they're totally blown. Worse, it's VERY dangerous to drive with blown struts. Your wheels leave the ground on bumpy roads, on a hard acceleration, or during hard braking... all times when you REALLY don't want that to happen! For the sake of your car, your life, and the lives and cars of people around you... do it right. You don't have to get expensive stuff, but get new stuff that can handle the drop... or don't lower your car!

I put the adjustable coilovers on my stock struts, and the back struts blew about 2 months after. Both rears. The front's very stiff, and holding out. This weekend I get the suspension kit from the female.

Oh, and if you're talking about the Ebay coilovers, DON'T DO IT!!! That's what I'm on right now, and they should be illegal. The bouncing, the rear springs being the same size as the fronts. (fronts fit fine, rears aren't as big as they need to be). The clinking, the scraping, the ugh. And they say...0-4"? Yea, try.....3-6". If you adjust the ones in the front allllll the way up, you're still at a 2 1/2"-3" drop.
