ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    andysautosport

So, I've never bought anything from Andysautosport...and I'm tryna buy 2 of the rear KYB struts and um...it says nothing about Shipping prices. I'd hate to go through the whole payment process, and find out the shipping's outrageous. Anyone know how much it'd be?

That link was provided as information about AAS and their typical habits.

How would anyone here know what 2 struts that weigh (??)lbs. cost shipped to your address(??) from a business (??). I didnt even think you were serious. Apparently you were so let me explain how shipping from a business standpoint works.

They probably have their own shipping costs worked out with various carriers. Also, the price will vary depending on if you're sending it to a personal or business address. And the method of shipping you choose. So Ground UPS to a Business would be far cheaper than say 2-Day FedEx to your Home.

Call them. But if you're just looking for two KYB struts go to your local Advance Auto Parts, they sell KYB struts and you get them shipped to the store for free.

Wait, are you looking for GR-2's or AGX's. You can get GR-2's from Advance for like $80 a piece. AGX's you better shop online for. I dont think you can order them through advance.

GR-2's are fine if your drop is no lower than 1.25".

Yea, I was serious. haha. THe KYB's at advance are about 100 a piece. Seen them bein' 52 at andysautosport, so figured I caught a deal. I've been goin' to Andysautosport for years, just for ideas, since they've got a lottaaaaaa stuff. Just haven't bought anything, but there is a lotta negative feedback. That's why I was wonderin' about the shipping though. Normally, like.....forsay, Ebay? If something's cheap in cost.....usually the shipping's more than the actual cost of the product. Iuno, but thanks!

Andys IMO is a great place to get ideas. But thats it. Window shopping.

Buy somewhere else and experience customer service. They lost me over 2 seperate Body Kit incidents. And everyone else who I talk to has maybe gotten their things but experienced bad Customer Service.

Thats why I started Vendor Reviews in beginners apperance: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=77294

This way we could have feedback from actual customers. Be sure that wherever you buy your stuff from to write a Vendor Review

Oh sweet man. I use the beginners up...the "everything you need to know" link most of the time, but I miss a lotta stuff. If you notice a lot of my replies to newer peoples posts, are always links from shit in there. But yea man, whenever I buy stuff for now on, I'll make a reply in that thread.

And the drop I'm looking for is 2.25". (Dropzone springs). So, I'm tryna go cheap on the struts....but not too cheap. It's a decent drop. BUT, I live in Wv..so right now, I'm gathering ideas...cause 2.25" seems like a decent drop, but we have a lotta railroads, and not too good driveways. Like, my driveway. ehh. Searchin' arounnddddd. I actually have a pad right next to me writin' prices and stuff.

Dropzone springs? Be careful... I've known nothing but garbage to come from Dropzone.

You can pair the GR-2's with a nice PROGRESSIVE RATE spring and be ok. I used the Sprint 2.25 lowering springs over KYB's for a year or so on some horrendous roads and they rode great. Sprint springs are progressive rate so they tend to ride better. SOme other examples of progressive rate springs are eibachs, neuspeeds, tein's, ST's etc... A more complete list can be found in the Suspension section.

However, I purchased my Sprint springs from Auto Anything here: http://www.autoanything.com/suspensi...0A1805478.aspx

The 2.2.5 drop is only $160 for all 4 springs and they ride NICE. They are very nice springs. coupled with GR-2's you can have a decent strut/spring combo for a good price.
This will also help when you start looking for camber adjustment kits, since you'll be saving money on the springs/struts.

Yea, I seen a few recommends from them, but I also see that um...they're sold on Ebay too? Kinda freaked me out. And I hate pictures that show like...8 springs, and they're all front springs? Just like these coilovers I got this past winter.....were ALL 4 front springs? But hey, I only paid 45 bucks for them. What could I expect? Come to find out, ALL the ebay coilovers are all 4, one size. So, now my backend bounces...and grinds, and squeals, and clinks, clanks, oh how I'd love to burn down the Ebay coilover factories. They should be illegal, honeslty. The way my car drives, driving normally....take a turn at 40mph, when it specifically says...40, yea...1 little bump, and the backend wants to whip out. I knew I shouldn'tve put them on. I called my friend and was like....dude, lets put my stock springs back in. He told me....are you really going with the h22? I told him yes, and he said...go new with the struts and springs. Good man, good man.
