Hey
I have idle problems with my UK spec '93 Accord Coupé.
Here are the exact symptoms when the problem started:
- Warm up fast idle fine.
- Idle okay BUT
- Touch the throttle even slightly (i.e. without even really increasing the revs) and the idle dropped to 400 or even stalled. If it didn't stall it hunted a few times back up to 900.
The car stalled with IACV unplugged so I gave the idle screw two complete turns to bring the idle without IACV up to 450rpm. This fixed the problem for a while but the problem eventually returned. I gave the screw another couple of turns and it got slightly better but only just.
So it seems like there's way too much fuel for some reason?
I also have an intermittent code 43 from the ECU.
I've pulled the O2 sensor and tried testing the voltage output with a blow torch and multimeter - anyone tried this?
Voltage went quite quickly to .9v then dropped slightly to .8v put dived back to basically zero as soon as I removed the heat.
Any ideas?
cheers,
