Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    speedo....

    anyone know why my speedo has gone out.. i got the car like this but i cant pass emissions without it cause my check engine light is on.. i was told its the speed scensor but on here it says its not the problem

    more details would be nice, but if your speedo doesn't work, i'd assume the VSS. had it happen to me.. was a pain to replace on mine cuz the bolt was stripped somehow..

      is all i know is that its making my check engine light come on.. i can stop the light from coming on but i gotta drive like my mom.. but if i get on the gas to hard it comes on? and say coming off the freeway when i use my motor to slow me down it comes on. idfk

        jump the cel harness and check your checkengine code(s)

          it could be your vehicle speed sensor .. check that out ..

            i checked the code

            i jumped that plug on the passenger kick pannel and the light gave me ONE long light then 7 flashes the book is telling me speed scensor.. but someone one here has replaced one and it wasnt the problem i guess..

              who? i don't know what else to tell you dood... cel says speed sensor.. change speed sensor.

                Vss change it dont by a new one buy used one from jy new ones are $$$ any 90-93 will work auto or standard just be careful of the pin that secures the drive to the unit itself can be a pain to keep in I used a little grease to hold it while installing,and dont forget to clear your ecu. Good Luck.

                  Why buy a used one... so it can go out again?

                    No man why pay 125 for one when you can get em for like 10 and I have had my used one for 60k and no probs you can get 10 of em for the price of a new one thats why!

                      i just snagged one today I got a headlight and VSS for 35 bucks :-) Mine has gone out at 175,oo3 miles. I recieved on off of a 125,000 motor. I think it will be good for a very long time. Not everyone likes to shell out 125 or more for a sensor.

                          Yea 30 bucs for a reman off ebay and it lists for 152 at Autozone for a duralast so why pay that when u can get it at the jy for 10 just a fact, lighten up there turbo.

                              Its ebay. Could be a reman, could not. You just never know. I do agree with drovebykeptgoin, new ones from parts stores are some money. I got mine from Advance a yearago for $89, so no surprise if it went up.

                              Everyone calm down, look at the bright side. Zigg and hopefully vdub got their problems solved. Isnt that what its all about?
