Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    intake question

    i was wondering about this intake here 90-93 ACCORD BLACK ANODIZED AIR INTAKE + FREE K&N

    here are my question

    1. is it a gimick?
    2. does this perform better then other makes?
    3. does it come with the filter/piping because im not seeing it in the description?

    its just a basic short ram setup. only the high end intakes are any better and your really only going to get a few HP difference if that. and no u wont get 15hp from it nor any other intake.

    yes it comes with the filter and piping. its all in the picture.

            Most of the high end are over 100. However, if you shop around you can find used ones pretty cheap. It all depends on what you want. It's not like they really wear our. The filiter is what has to replaced so I would go used if you can find one.

              Wow... that item is fully worth it.

              K&N's aren't cheap filters.

              Any of the Short Ram Intakes you find will have the same dimensions and parts, pipe diameter and clamps. It's the filter you want and this one is sweet.

              The black finish is nice too.

              If you want a "cold air intake" be ready to cut the crap out of the fender area by your battery. That's very solid metal. The stock hole is rougly 2" going down. The hole you NEED to make needs to be at least 3" x 5" to compensate for the pipe angle coming down.

              That's the reason I went with a SRI. I didn't feel like cutting my car.

              Personal preference.
