ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    rotor questions

ive had people tell me that we can take the rotors from the acura legend. is this true? i know they are bigger. does all of the brackets bolt up to stock? do you have to change claipers also? someone help me out please. thank you

You can use the calipers not the rotors, Unless you are 5 lug.

The calipers you can use, but you have to get the 11" wagon rotors or convert to acura cl knuckles and then get prelude 11" rotors.

na, not the Legend, the Acura Vigor's brakes bolts right up. That's what i have on my car now and it is FAR superior to the accord's brakes. I even had Powerslot rotors in place of my accord rotors, and its WAY better than those were. Right now I've got Brembo Blanks, Hawk HPS pads and Vigor Calipers w/ SS brake lines. PERFECT combo if you ask me.

I'm running the same setup on my 05 WRX lol. Fantastic, slotted rotors are overrated particularly for the money, get a good set of blanks that'll hold up to some heat (such as the Brembo's) They're good for teh daily and can handle some track days if so desired. Obviously track cars, legitimate ones use slotted and drilled rotors for ventilation and clearing debris and so on but still...

          Brembo blanks FTW lol

yeah if you get a good set of rotors, that'll prevent a lot of the warping issues found in the cheaply made ones. Its all about the material the rotor is made out of and HOW its made that make is resistant to warping. Plus the extra inch of disc space definitely helps to dissipate the heat from stopping, as well as the increased pad size, and caliper size. It acts like a heat sinc to disperse the unwanted heat.
