I'm hoping this is a fairly simple problem and can be easily fixed. Whenever I turn my steering wheel a few degrees it makes a squeel I was told it could be my bushings. Has anyone else had this problem or know what can be causing this?

Your power steering belt could be lose. You might want to check that first.

maybe its your cv boot when you turn you hear a click click noise?

It could also be low power steering fluid but if its more of a higher pitch noise, probably the belt like 91accord said.Comment

I've had this problem for over a year now and nobody can seem to figure out what is wrong with it. Mine is like a squeal/moan sound. It's not the power steering fluid and I'm pretty sure it isn't the belt either.Comment

nope i definatly don't get any sort of clicking noise or popping. Define what you consider a "moan". Power steering fluid could be the cause because it hasn't been changed/filled for quite some time. does this happen when you turn the wheel slightly? or does it only happen when you are first taking off and turning it drastically??Comment

you could just be low on fluid. Make sure you buy the HONDA PS fluid. The PS pump is very picky when it comes to fluid.

Sounds like a bad PS pump. Junkyard it, pay a dirt cheap amount for a working one and throw that bad boy on.Comment

it only happens for the first few degrees of turning once i get past a certain point i can't hear it. I'm not sure if it happens when im just stopped or driving cause i can't hear it when im cruising aroundComment

Maybe go to an empty parking lot, have one of your buddies drive the car around while you're outside, see if it does it while moving.Comment
