ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Radiator?

So I have a slight leak in my radiator and would like to replace it before I have a problem. Can any one tell me a good brand name to buy or should I just go to the local carquest and pick up an OEM?

The mounts on the top of my radiator snapped off somehow, the metal tabs on the radiator not the brackets attached to the frame of the car. IS this a huge problem ? It doesnt move around much but should i be concerned?

You should come up with something, even temporary, to keep your radiator from banging into the frame. Zip ties, wire, make a new post out of plastic epoxy/jb weld, etc. It's not worth it to leave it, if you start leaking coolant, your ride won't be reliable.

I paid $99.96 yesterday @ advance auto parts. Its wayy clean, I'm a stingy ass dude, I waited, and waited for jy rads and jus gave up. I paid for a new 1, comes with life time warrenty, also came with rad cap, and 2 new ac line links. I don't have ac so I didn't use it. Took me 30min that included cleanin up the antifreeze all that leaked all over the fukin place from my old rad.

OEM repl is good, but the Carquest ones only have a 1 yr warranty if I remember correctly. For about the same price, you should be able to find an all-metal one with a lifetime warranty if you look. The OEM ones always end up leaking at the plastic tank ends.

I just looked on www.radiatorbarn.com , and they have an all metal one for CB7s shipped for $117.

I have a temp fix but i was just curious. Its not banging at all and it barely moves. I just noticed it yesterday when i was cleaning parts of my engine bay!

You could get some plastic epoxy for less than 4 bucks, mold it like clay into a new post, and stick it right where the old one was. Clean before you adhere it, then sand and paint it black after it dries. Done, cheap, easy and reliable.

If money is an issue than I would stick with the cheap oem radiator. If money is not an issue I would spend the money and buy a KOYO.
