ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Problems with my tranny.. need help =[

In the last couple of days, my car has been acting up for once. The tranny seems to be slipping or something. It's weird, it like doesnt wanna go, as if I were had the e-brake on or something. It's an auto, I checked the tranny fluid and it seems good. Also yesterday, the little "S" light started blinking. I don't know what could be wrong here. Anyone have any ideas??

Check your solenoids as well for any obvious damage.

When you go from P to D does the tranny take a while to enage and do you hear a loud clunk?

not really, i think its about normal.. same as our work van, and my moms mini van... it does sometimes make a loud clunk but its cause my shit is idleing crazy, i have to fix that.. and my motor mount is a little sloppy.. so the clunk is coming from the front mount not the tranny..

weird thing is it only does it once in a while.. like every two months or so...

Doubtful. My car has 253k on the auto trans, and it's just fine. You should be able to check the codes by jumping the 2 pin connector under the passenger kick panel (look for a blue plug). Short it out with a paper clip, then turn to key to the II position, and get the code. One long blink is a 10, a short blink is a 1.

i have an auto as well. it started to have a problem where it would not down shift to first gear after coming to a complete stop, even when i put the shifter into first and accelerated i could tell it was in second, it would only go back into first when i would shut off the motor put it in park and then i would have to wait like 2 min before restarting the motor otherwise it wouldnt startup. i only had this problem on a few occations, about 4 times over the course of 4 months, but it has stopped now, i dont drive it as frequently as i used to. also, when that S light blinks it usually means your tranny is having problems, mine did it a couple of times when it was acting up. oh and my millage is at 232k
