ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Trunk Leak?

Does anyone else have water coming in their trunk when it rains? My friend's dad who drives a CB7 has it too, but neither of us have figured out where it's coming from and I don't want it to hurt my amp.

Oh I never really thought of the sunroof drains, where are they? I didn't realize they needed to drain anywhere, what part of the sunroof collects water?

it could also be the weatherstripping around the trunk. check to see if they are squashed down flat, or torn. if they are replace. if not spray water on the TRUNK ONLY and then check for leak. if there iswater in your trunk dry it out and rub the seal with vasaline and reapeat process. it quick and easy. i would do that before pulling things apart to check the drains and taillight seals.

Tailight seals are the problem 83% of the time, but it could be the other tihings mentioned. Best way to figure it out is to get in the trunk with a flashlight and have a friend hose down the trunk. You should see where the water is coming in.

if the water is in the spare tire area it could be the taillight seals .I have had that problem several times with a couple of wagon that I have driven and the the one I currently drive.it a big problem with cbs and other hondas

I live in Oregon and I had a problem with this too. I went to the Honda dealership and got some seals for the tailights and haven't had a problem since. I think the seals were around $25. Better do it soon though, I ended up having to replace the wiring harness for my passenger side tailight because so much water had got in.

some of the rails where the weather striping goes was bent on my car, and i took a rubber mallet to it, shaped it to normal and mine stopped leaking . My weatherstripping is torn also but its minimal and it dosen't leak. Possibly check for bends in the sheetmetal for the weatherstripping?

I have the water in the spare thing.

I'll notice water dripping from the underside of my car, but the carpet and everything else inside the trunk isnt wet.

I guess its something i should look into cuz after so long all that water could lead to rust.

This has been discussed a number of times. It is almost always leaking from the rear glass molding clips.

Almost always? It's a possible leak.

But really, it's almost always the tail light gaskets. They are 25 a piece from honda. Expensive, but kept my trunk dry.
