ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

F22A4 has 130hp (F22A1 has 125hp) to the H22's 200hp. Find out the cost of increase in performance for an F22 and compare that cost to droppin' an H22 in there instead.

Personally, I want to get an H22, but I'd like to do it myself, which means learning more about my engine. In the meantime, I'll upgrade my F22, and hopefully get lucky and find someone willing to trade engines in the future

if you get it rebuild consisting mainly of OEM parts then why not ? JDM motors while they are under 40K you never know how the person drove the car over there. Plus they dont believe in oil changes.

Also depends what your future plans are.
If your on a budget and want to turbo, go F22 if not, go H22.

You need to decide your future plans before you make any hard decisions

I went to a JDM motor warehouse, and they dont have warranties for any of their engines. I was so close to a jdm h22a (800 bux) but then he wanted me to sign a paper that said it was sold AS-IS, and he didnt even know the condition of the engine.

Too bad for me... Id say stick to a turbo f22.

Yeah, see how much the parts would cost for you to rebuild the F22. It'll be more than 2,000 dollars if you get premium F22 parts from bisi versus stock replacement. Or you could just buy an H22a with 200hp for 2,000 and start from there.

go f22b DOHC. I've been working on mine for almost a yr but i want it right. if your going to build and your on a budget buy the motor YOU want and put it on a stand in the garage. if you gotta rush and power is not an issue at the time just put in a f22a to get you through.

just send it to a shop to have it rebuilt. get a nre oil pump h20 pump and all new seals and gaskets and bearings plus rings. have them write in the contract that they will show you the bearings and rings plus old oil pump and h20 for your own concern on how worn the items were, this is so you wont get cheated out of parts. take pictures of the old ones and the new ones to compare. Make sure uts a business that is BBB. After you do that and break it in I would do the DSM turbo kit. 8PSI max then talk about custom MAPS. for now just save up towards the labor and parts for the motor. dont buy things you dont need unless they break. save save save.
