ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

So getting the short RAM for $30 on ebay is good enough? Im in NYC, so no CARBs, (correct me if im wrong).

Just change the filter, I guess.

And I dont need a bypass valve with a short ram, right?

Im thinking I'm going to replace the filter w/ a k&n or AEM though. Advanced Auto Parts sells them for ~$40 still less than buying a full AEM kit... may even slap an AEM sticker on it

buying an intake is good, but u can really hear the 'roar' under tha hood if u just cut the stock airbox. easily cut through with a hacksaw, try it out i was pleased

you also pay for the C.A.R.B. Certification which Ebay ones don't have. So if you live in cali and get caught w/ an Ebay intake under the hood, they can write you a ticket for it.

CARB legal intakes are legal and therefore don't get tickets written up.

Ebay does not make or sell parts. "Ebay" is not a brand. You can get real parts on ebay, or you can get cheap shit.

AEM and K&N filters are good. Cheap shit filters are cheap shit.

A short ram pipe is just that... a pipe. Who cares.

And CARB is for CA only.

                          Yello

Well I guess I can add my 2 cents seeing as I bought one from Ebay. I bought one like this:

                          http://cgi.ebay.ca/90-93-Honda-Accor...QQcmdZViewItem

Everyone's opinion on here is right AND wrong...

Lets face the facts...the only thing a SRI needs to be is shiny, 3", have good fitting sleeves, good synch clamps and a good filter.

All the SRI from Ebay are shiny, 3", have good sleeves & clamps.....the only difference is the cone filter....Period.

I have to agree the filters on Ebay aren't the best because they are dry filters....not oiled ones like K&N...which traps ALOT more particles that hurt cylinder walls. Just get the hunky dory Ebay ones and buy a K&N filter and shove it on the end....and Boo yaa...air gets sucked up like a mofo...

If you want to buy a AEM one that list for over $200 so be it.... but the one you showed here:

                          http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/91-92...spagenameZWD1V

..that is not the one that gets shipped. Those bends are all wrong.

In short....lol....its all about the filter.

                          and.... I'M OUT !

                          lol

                          OH...1 more thing....check THIS OUT....

                          http://cgi.ebay.ca/90-93-HONDA-ACCOR...QQcmdZViewItem

Holy cheap, awesome performance and looks sexy as hell !
