ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

What goes down must come up?

I believe it should be that way, when it comes to power windows. Here's my issue, my passenger side back door suddenly wants to be a bitch and be able to go down, but not back up. It's already bad enough the drivers side back door doesn't work. But this one now?

What can be the problem here? Do I have to replace the whole motor/assembly or what?

It's probably the motor. Mine is that way as well, and has been for a long time. I took the panel off an unplugged it, to be sure i didn't put it down accidentally!

OEM parts fit best, but they're not cheap (and I believe the motor and regulator are separate pieces... assembly is a pain). I always used cheap stuff found online. My back one that I replaced is fine. The front one... not so great.

The bad part is... the window isn't up all the way. There's like a 1cm opening.
If I had some window visors it wouldn't be much of a problem.

        Open the door.
Put one hand on each side of glass.
        Pull up.

That's what I have to do on my passenger rear side.

Cb rear windows are goofy as hell. They are cable wich is bound to mess up if not lubed properly. I did what Josh said and then what deev said to insure i didn't do it again on my 92.

spray the hell out of the window/tracks with wd-40 and if that dont work then ud prolly need a new window motor cuz ur old one is burnt out. changing the window motor/regulator is not that hard is like 5 or 6 bolts. i did it on my front one and i got it done in a short period of time the only part that took a little long was adjusting the window so it would seal good.

lol I tried that. It was embarrassing as hell. I was at the mall and 2 girls, and all my friends who rode with me took the panel off in the middle of the mall parking lot and had to pull it up.

I'm gonna have to go through it again and fiddle with it. Maybe tomorrow.

                  Thanks guys for the suggestions!

get a power window regulator from the JY. So far mine are doing okay, the pass. one is getting slower but it still works. And I've got bigger Coupe windows.
