ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

MY CB DIES a CD DEVELOPS A PROBLEM

Well guys I guess my cb is dead

But on another note Im the proud owner od a cd now...

I bought it about 2 weeks ago..
    Everything was fine till..

1.) I was driving at mid throttle up an incline, car quits,, no stumble, just dies like I shut it off(no mechanical sounds ie. pops, cracks, snaps, or backfires)

2.) Once I came to a rest I tried to restart it. Nothing.. It just cranks and cranks with no Firing AT ALL

3.) Checked fuel at Schrader/bleeder Value.(opened it and turned key forward) plenty of fuel(unsure about psi)

4.) Checked spark with a spark tester and by hand.. NO SPARK

5.) Bought Distributor and installed.. STILL NO SPARK

6.) Pulled the Dizzy and changed distributor to (180*) out.. Still cranks
    BUT NO SPARK

What has gone on? ECU, MAIN RELAY, TIMING BELT?
I dont think anything mechanical gave cause I didnt hear it and the lower half still rotates(no seizure)
All I know is I NEEEEED to get this running soon..

Check the ECU fuse. Check the wiring on the fuel pump too.

        I probably should have said:
        F22B2 VTEC, Auto..

        The engines getting fuel
The dizzy is the TD-58-U/ with internal coil..

My buddy and I had about the same problem as you are having. To me I believe it could be the alt. If your battery is fine and nothing else happened that could have caused this get the altanator checked (my spelling is not that great). If it's not that good luck trying to get your car up and going!

Mine did that. It was the alternator, apparently when it died, it made the voltage go nuts and blew the BATTERY FUSE(80amp), blew the ECU fuse, and some others

New alternator, all new fuses, problem solved.

I doubt its the timing belt. Check fuses, and check the iginition coil.

I agree, check the alternator and If you havent already reset the ECU by pulling the fuse for about 30 seconds. And A car is never dead until it has burned to the ground. They can always get heart transplants. Good luck

Na seriously.. its the timing belt...
timing belt turns the cam, cam rotates the dizzy... its gonna cost about 500 to fix.. if it was the alt then it would loose charge and not turn over at all...

Timing belt won't cause a no spark condition. The coil fires off of the CkP sensor, which is unaffected by a snapped timing belt, so the coil would not be affected in that regard. Why would you install the dizzy 180 out? Check the wiring inside the distributor, be sure the pin-fit at the ignitor is good, and that the wires are installed at the right locations. (easy to mess that up, believe it or not). Also, make sure the cap & rotor are in good condition, no moisture, etc. Bad main relay could cause a no-start, but not typically a died-while-driving situation.
