ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Step to Recharge A/C???

According to my brother the car got New compressor 2 years ago and I saw that the car was Retrofitted with R134a

All i have to do is buy recharge R134a kit right? Do i have to use OIL Charge also??? and What does that do???

Just buy a recharge kit with the guage on the line. There are going to be ones that have the oil in them already so I would use that.

You charge the system on the low pressure line wich is actually the big line in the front of you engine bay.

Or you can get is done on a machine that vaccums the system out and adds oil, dye, and R134a but you will pay for it of coarse.

the line is right behind radiator cap next to the Silver Bottle

If it retrofitted it should have Red or Blue Cap and the Port is Big (easy connector) and Not threaded. Black cap is the factory one i think (R12)

I heard once the adapter is in. It will be hard or impossible to take out.

How many Can of the one with Oil i should pick up?

i know the capacity is 29 OZ but because of R134a being High Pressure they recommended 85% of it to be file up so that about 24 OZ which is 2 Can

I should pick up 1 Can of R134a with 1oz of OIL and 1 Can of Regular R134a??

If it has been filled before you should already have the correct amount of oil still in the system. Two cans should do you fine though. Make sure you get one with a gauge.

If nothing has been done to the ac system since the compressor has been replaced Filling it up with a can isn't going to work.

You need to have the system put under vacuum first.
                  wat?

you can use an all in one can, but honda recommends PAG oil

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

Well I'm pretty sure when the compressor was put in. They vacuum out all the stuff, put in R134a and OIL

Today i went and bought Arctic Freeze R134a and Fill it up. The can came with leak stopper and lubricant in it. $23 for 18oz not bad. My a/c blow pretty cool air but not ice cold just perfect.

I hope that is good enough

                          Thank everyone
